HAL plays 3-1.  That probably means that he has several 1's.

At this point, you should expect Adam to hit the 1.  He should respect the 3 that Mike put (Mike is the leader in their team).  So, if by any chance Adam hits the 3, that would mean, 99.9% sure, that he doesn't have any 1's  (again, hypothetically, if Adam hits the 3)
