Net Dominó - Demo Game - Second round

So, your obvious choice was the double 6.  Why?  Well, you know for sure that Mike doesn't have 6's (he passed!).  And a simple count of them will tell you that there were two more 6's.  Since both HAL and Adam have only one tile each, that must mean that HAL and Adam have one 6 each (which one?  doesn't matter -- you play the double-6 and since Mike won't be able to block it, HAL will necessarily play -- and win!)

As you can see, the play icon (the happy-face) in HAL's position indicates that he's not passing; thus, he'll play his last piece and you win this round!

Coincidentally, you would have won no matter what, since it turns out that HAL has the 6-5, and the 5 is a head.  So, if you played the 6-4, Mike would have played his 4-3, and HAL arrived -- in fact, not only because HAL had the head, but because Mike was playing the 4-3 (leaving a 5 on one end, and a 3 on the other end), and the two remaining 6's are the 6-3 and 6-5;  so, whichever HAL had, he would have won!

However, your decision of playing the double-6 was best!  You kept Mike from getting rid of 7 points!!!  (notice that the fact that you were trying to get rid of the double-6 has nothing to do with it!  Getting rid of the double-6 at this point should be the last thing on your mind!  It was the fact that Mike didn't have a 6 and you were making 100% sure that Mike would pass and HAL would play his last piece!)
