Net Dominó - Demo Game - Second round

[ Demo Game 2 ]

There!  HAL played his 6-5 and you win the round and score 18 points!  Not bad for a beginner, huh?!  :-)

So this demo round showed you a few more strategies (of intermediate complexity) and typical approaches.

It also confirmed one conclusion from the previous demo round:  as we get closer to the end of the round, it becomes easier to predict what each player has, and thus easier to predict the outcome of each possible play!  The typical rules (frequent number, repeating, etc.) become less and less important, since you have more information in your hands and you can make a decision based on simple logic, tiles counting, discarding possibilities, etc.

For instance, it is quite common that one tries to get rid of the double-6 as soon as possible.  However, in this round, when you got the chance to get rid of the double-6, that was the last thing on your mind!  Coincidentally, playing the double-6 was the best choice, but not because you had to get rid of those 12 points!

Another important decision was made by HAL when he played the 6-1 two rounsd ago!  Playing anything else would have meant that you lose this round!  Click on the next button to see a discussion on what HAL did and why he did it.
